Zoe Schenk
Zoe Schenk is a junior at the University of Washington majoring in International Studies with a focus on human rights. Since she was old enough to understand politics, Zoe has been passionate about creating space for women in all levels of government and is thrilled to do so as the West Coast Regional Program Manager for Leading Women of Tomorrow.
In high school, Zoe participated in Model United Nations, and got a taste for organization and leadership as the Secretary-General of the largest MUN conference in Washington state. She continues to be passionate about international relations, sustainable development, and understanding human rights theory. She has also worked as an intern for Washington Environmental Council and Futurewise, a nonprofit in Seattle, Washington. She writes for The Daily of the University of Washington, the university’s newspaper, covering topics from how art can be used as a political statement to the shrinking livable spaces in the oceans.
In her spare time, Zoe enjoys baking, reading, and spending time outdoors. She is not often seen without some type of caffeine.
