Medha Reddy (she/her)
Medha Reddy is a fourth year medical student who has dedicated her career to advocating for those underrepresented in leadership. Medha’s interest in governance began upon her visit to the White House in 2009, where President Bush recognized her and her peer’s volunteer efforts at the annual Turkey Pardoning. She went on to serve as the Chief Operating Officer at Youth for National Change, Public Outreach Chair for the Maryland Governor’s Youth Advisory Council, Co-Founder of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Student Bay Advisory Council, Executive Board Member of a non-profit dedicated to eradicating LGBTQ homelessness, and Founder and President of Maryland Youth Legislative Councils, which seeks to increase youth involvement in the political process.
Medha also provided input on possible reforms to the youth healthcare transition by serving as the youngest member on the Maryland Healthcare Transition Leadership team (under the US Department of Health and Human Service's Maternal and Child Health Bureau). Her efforts have earned her many distinctions, including becoming one of the youngest recipients of a Governor’s Citation and Maryland Women’s Heritage Center Unsung Heroine Award. Medha, a medical student in New York, currently serves as Founder and Advisory Board President of Leading Women of Tomorrow.
