Malina is currently studying government with a concentration in international relations at Georgetown University. She is motivated by the pursuit of the recognition of a common sense of humanity in both domestic and foreign governance, particularly with regards to addressing human rights, injustice, and inequity. Originally from New Mexico, Malina has served on campaigns for both local and Senate races, in the offices of her state representative, Chairman Matthew McQueen, and state Speaker Brian Egolf, and interned in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History Office of Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs. Currently, she interns in the DC office of Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernandez (NM-3).

Malina serves as the Co-Director of Digital Media for Leading Women of Tomorrow after having formerly served as the Director of Communications for the American University chapter. She joins the team with an enthusiasm for spreading the organization’s message both across the U.S. and internationally, hoping to empower women of diverse backgrounds and passions to believe in their ability to enter the world of public service.

In her free time, Malina enjoys reading, hiking, and making a mess in the kitchen.
